Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information TheParadox.Design collects through this website, why, and the rights you have over it. We collect as little as possible and never sell it.

Who we are

TheParadox.Design is a web and software studio based in New Zealand. For any privacy request, contact us at the email address in the footer.

What we collect

Only what you send us. If you use the contact form: your name, email address, optional company name, project type and message. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count page views and clicks in aggregate — they do not identify you or follow you across sites.

The on-device demonstration

The interactive demonstration runs a language model entirely inside your browser. Anything you type into it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your contact details solely to respond to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is your consent (given via the form's consent checkbox) and our legitimate interest in replying to genuine enquiries. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 we follow the Information Privacy Principles; for visitors in the EU/UK we act as a data controller under the GDPR.

Who processes your data

Form submissions are delivered by email through Resend and, where used, stored with Supabase; the site and analytics are hosted on Vercel. These providers may process data in the EU and United States under standard contractual safeguards. We rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms for any data that leaves New Zealand or the EU/UK.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained only as long as needed to respond and follow up. If a conversation does not lead to work, we delete the enquiry within 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop using it, at any time. EU/UK visitors also have the right to object, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the studio's services evolve or following legal review. The date above shows the current version.
